Cargo Van Driver (OTR)

Position Overview

McWill Logistics is seeking experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) Cargo Van Drivers based in Atlanta, Georgia, to transport freight across regional and national routes. As an OTR driver, you'll handle time-sensitive freight shipments, maintain professional communication with dispatch, and represent McWill Logistics with the highest standards of safety and reliability. Over the road for 2 to 3 weeks, then home time/days off to follow.

This full-time position offers competitive weekly pay up to $1,000/week (based on miles, freight availability, and performance), benefits, and the opportunity to work with a professional team committed to your success.

Primary Responsibilities

• • Safely operate a company-provided cargo van on regional and national routes
• • Complete assigned routes within specified delivery windows
• • Pick up and deliver freight according to customer requirements
• • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• • Properly load, secure, and protect cargo throughout transport
• • Maintain detailed logbooks and delivery documentation
• • Maintain constant communication with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, and status
• • Report any delivery delays, damages, accidents, or concerns immediately
• • Submit bills of lading, delivery confirmations, and electronic proof of delivery
• • Keep the assigned vehicle clean and report maintenance issues promptly
• • Provide professional and courteous customer service to shippers and receivers
• • Follow all company safety policies and comply with DOT and state transportation regulations

Required Qualifications

• • At least 21 years old
• • Valid driver's license (non-CDL acceptable for cargo van operations)
• • Minimum five years of licensed driving experience
• • Acceptable motor vehicle record with no major violations
• • No DUI or reckless-driving conviction within the past five years
• • Able to pass comprehensive drug screening
• • Eligible under commercial insurance requirements
• • Able to safely lift and move freight weighing up to 75 pounds
• • Comfortable using GPS, smartphone applications, and electronic proof-of-delivery systems
• • Willing to work extended hours and travel overnight on regional and national routes
• • OTR or long-distance driving experience preferred (but not required)
